2027: Eggon Communities in Lafia, Obi LGs endorse Hon. Akwashiki for Reps.
……..as he promise to attract FG projects to his people, provide all inclusive leadership, if elected.
Hon. Solomon Yakubu Akwashiki, Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate for House of Representatives, Lafia/ Obi Federal constituency, has promised to attract more government projects to the constituency, if elected into the Green Chambers of the National Assembly in 2027.
This, he promised to provide all inclusive leadership and purposeful representation.
Hon. Akwashiki, member representing Lafia Central Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly made the pledge when Eggon Communities of Lafia and Obi Local Government Areas endorsed him for House of Representative today in Lafia.
Akwashiki, the Chairman, House Committee on Public Accounts also pledged quality representation at the Green Chambers of the National Assembly, if voted.
He appreciated Eggon Council of Elders, Eggon Cultural and Development Association (ECDA) Eggon Youth Association (EYA) ECDA Women Wing and Ame Wo Ba Eggon (AWBE) for the endorsement and promised not to fail them, if elected.
” I thank God for this day, the Eggon council of elders, women and youths have spoken as today’s endorsement is an affirmation of the earlier endorsement done by ECDA last year.
” I want to appreciate you for endorsing me and I am happy that my kinsmen endorsed me for House of Representative come 2027.
” I have done a lot in the areas of jobs, empowerment, scholarship, water, electricity, roads among other peoples oriented projects.
” By God’s grace, I will do more and I will not fail the people of Lafia/ Obi Federal constituency, if elected come 2027″ he said.
Hon. Akwashiki also promised purposeful leadership, if given the opportunity in 2027.
The lawmaker called on the people of Lafia/Obi federal constituency and other Nigerians to vote only leaders with integrity during the 2027 general elections.
On his part, Mr Musa Jatau, One of the members of Eggon Council of Elders said that the endorsement of Akwashiki followed his achievements in the areas of jobs, water, electricity, scholarship and his purposeful leadership in the House.
” We are not here on the umbrella of any political party but we are here on the umbrella of Eggon communities of Lafia/ Obi federal constituency to endorse our own, Hon. Solomon Yakubu Akwashiki for House of Representatives, Lafia/Obi federal constituency come 2027.
” Hon Solomon Yakubu Akwashiki has done well and still doing well as member representing Lafia Central constituency.
” Hon Solomon Yakubu Akwashiki started as a Councilor and has done well during that time by empowering orphans, widows and other people,
” He has also given jobs, scholarship, empowerment and executed people’s oriented projects that have direct bearings on the lives of the people of the constituency, that is why we endorsed him for House of Representatives seat come 2027,” he said.
On their parts, Mr William Emmanuel, the ECDA Chairman of Obi LGA, Mr Yahaya Allu Sani, EYA Chairman, Southern Zone and the Women Leader, ECDA Women Wing, Southern Zone, Mrs Juliana Akuadne, all corroborated with the position of the Eggon Council of Elders.
They said that Hon. Akwashiki, their son is making them proud at the state legislature via quality representation, hence the need for the endorsement.
They assured of their readiness and commitment to mobilise support for Hon. Akwashiki to succeed in the 2027 general election.
