The All Progressives Congress (APC) extraction of Ondo state caucus in the House of Representatives, has called on President Bola Tinubu to intervene and restore peace in the state.

In a statement on Friday, the caucus said that the call became necessary following the sudden dissolution of the Executive Council and APC party structure in the state.

The statement was signed by Reps Adesida Aderin, Timehin Adelegbe, Festus Ayodele, Ojogo Kimikanboh, John Okunjimi and Adegboyega Adefarati.

The lawmaker said that following the unfortunate demise of former Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu and the swearing-in of the incumbent Gov. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, there have been internal conflicts in the party.

The caucus said that decision to dissolve the Executive Council and party structures before  Akeredolu is laid to rest, did not reflect the wish and aspirations of majority of party members in the state.

They alleged that the party’s State Chairman, Mr Ade Adetimehin is being marginalised, sidelined and pressured to resign.

According to them, some party meetings that have held in recent times were without key leaders of the party in the state.

“There is a growing divide within our party is occasioned by the seed of enmity; these actions have had a cumulative effect, resulting in the emergence of animosity within the party.

“The primary concern is clear: we must prevent Ondo from falling into the hands of the opposition due to internal conflicts.

“It is our fervent hope that Ondo, the Sunshine state, will be saved from further turmoil, and that the APC’s influence in the state will not wane.

“As representatives of the good people of Ondo State in the National Assembly, we pray that your Presidency will be guided by divine wisdom, resulting in remarkable development, peace, prosperity and renewed hope for all Nigerians,” he said.
