The General Officer Commanding (GOC)1 Division Nigerian Army, Maj.-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja has pledged to ensure continuous support for Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC) and Nigerian Army School of Infantry (NASI) both in Jaji, Kaduna State.
Lagbaja made the pledged during his seperate maiden courtesy calls on the Commandant AFCSC, AVM Olurotimi Tuwase and the Commandant, NASI Maj.-Gen. Maude Ali in Jaji on Thursday.
At AFCSC, the GOC said his visit to the institution was to formally introduce himself to the Commandant, seek his blessings and assure him of the 1 Division’s continues support and synergy.
He thanked the commandant for the assistance and support to 1 Division Nigerian Army.
In his response, AVM Tuwase appreciated the GOC for his visit while thanking him for all the roles the division had been playing in support of AFCSC.
He particularly commended the GOC for the division’s recent successes in the fight against banditry, kidnapping and other criminalities in the Division’s Area of Responsibility.
At NASI, the GOC thanked the commandant, Maj.-Gen. Ali and his team of instructors for providing the requisite training for officers and soldiers of 1 Division which he said had assisted in boosting the combat efficiency of the troops.
He also assured the commandant of the division’s continuous support and collaboration with the school.
Responding, the commandant congratulated the GOC on his well deserved appointment and wished him a successful tour of duty.
Ali reassure the GOC of all necessary support and required collaboration.
