The factional Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Chief Edozie Njoku has urged all members to unite for the progress of the party.

Njoku who claimed to be the authentic Chairman of the party, made the call while addressing newsmen on Wednesday in Abuja shortly after he was granted bail.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Njoku is facing trials for allegedly forging Supreme Court judgement that affirms him as the authentic party chairman.

Njoku said that it is no longer business as usual in APGA where the party wins a governorship seat and uses the office to engage in business saying that business in APGA has ended.

Njoku said that APGA was formed for engagements and not negotiations saying that the party will look at Nigeria and know how to engage properly for the benefit of all.

Njoku promised not to victimise anybody irrespective of their position saying that members should return to the table for the progress of the party.

“This is a warning to all, we will not victimise any body, I assure you that, if those in the Executive or are candidates do not come quickly, everything will be finished appropriately.

“I am watching my words but those who have long tongue will use it to count their teeth; do not come tell me that you were my classmate, or my ally.

“All of us are APGA, come to the table and let us move forward, for warmed is for armed, this is the last warning,” he said.

Njoku said that a winner may not emerge at the first run of the forthcoming 2023 general election.

According to him, we are likely to have a runoff and in the runoff, we will engage for the best for our people.

Speaking on his committal to Suleja Correctional Centre, Njoku said that the two days spent in the centre were among the best days of his life.

He, however, said that his experience and what he saw in the centre showed that Nigeria was sitting on a gun powder.

Njoku said that it was ridiculous for anyone to allege that a citizen could forge a judgement of the Supreme Court, a document that could be easily verified.

Njoku said that all Nigeria needed to survive was the Rule of Law, urging all stakeholders to pray and work for the implementation of the principles of democracy.

“We should be very careful, there only thing we should pray for and have is the Rule of Law; I need it, we all need it, the privileged needs it more than the poor.

“It is only the Rule of Law that will save our lives in this country,” he said.
