An amalgamation of All Progressives Congress (APC) support group have called on President Bola Tinubu to consider its members for possible political appointments.
The convener, Dr AK Peters who made the call on Tuesday at a news conference in Abuja, said that the members of the group have capacity to deliver the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“We call on our father, leader and mentor, President Bola Tinubu to favourably consider us for appointments into his government as we have the best of brains, hands and leg that can bring the renewed hope agenda to fruition.
“We congratulate the leadership of the APC under the able stewardship of the National Chairman, Dr Abdulahi Ganduje for the fatherly manner he handled the Amalgamated APC Support Groups crisis.
“We promise to remain loyal to the party and his office and person at all times,” he said.
He said that as think-tank team of the APC support groups, it is their recommended that the APC should in consultation with leaders of various support groups, set up a 19-member care-taker committee drawn from the six geo-political zones for the amalgamation.
He said that the caretaker committee which should not last for more than 90 days should be be mandated to constituting a Constitution Drafting Committee to fashion a peoples constitution for the amalgamated within 45 days.
He also proposed that the care-taker committee should appoint and inaugurate an AASG electoral committee to conduct a credible general within 28 days to usher in a new leadership for the amalgamation.
He said that the think-tank of the amalgamation was created by some concerned leaders and members because of the dissolution of parallel leaderships on November 16.
